Snapdragon workshops are informative, relaxing and above all fun! They’re for beginners with a love of flowers and plants- no previous skills required. It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours with like-minded people, learn a few tricks of the trade that make all the difference and enjoy a glass or two of fizz at the same time. What’s not to love?
So many of you have been asking when we’ll be doing some more- so here are a few dates over the coming months. The Winter/Christmas workshops dates will be posted in early October.
Workshops last around 2 hours and include all materials, tuition, snacks and refreshments. These workshops will take place in our shop in Brunstfield, in groups of 6 people. We can also bring our workshops to you, or create a bespoke event at the shop if these dates don’t suit or there is something specific you’d love to learn.

Workshop programme Summer/Autumn 2017
‘Jug of Summer flowers’
You will learn to create the florist’s staple -a seasonal hand-tied bouquet. We’ll cover choosing flowers and foliage, care and conditioning and then spiralling the stems into a bouquet. You’ll then use the flowers to artistically fill a beautiful Parlane ‘Miel’ ceramic pitcher ready to take home, place down and admire. The pitcher can then be used time after time.
Enjoy some tea and cake and a glass of fizz at the same time!

‘Wild & natural table arrangement’
You’ll create a beautiful arrangement in florist’s foam, using a terracotta bowl as the container. The overall look will be wild and natural and will be just perfect as a table centre. We’ll cover choosing flowers and foliage, care and conditioning before getting down to the arrangement itself. (This technique will stand you in good stead to create something similar for your Christmas table!)
